Announcements and Upcoming Events
We will be conducting a coaches round-table and basic first aid demonstration on Saturday, 5/12 at 5:30 PM, after all the Saturday games are done. As a board, we are mandated by Little League to meet at least once with the coaches and managers in a group and to have the first aid demonstration. We will require at least the manager and or coach of each team to attend this event on May 12. Please mark your calendars. Thank you for your cooporation.
Picture Day - Saturday 5/19. Team and indivual player photos will be taken one hour before each team's game start. Managers will be distributing order forms on Saturday, 5/12, so parents can order the photo packages prior to arriving at the field.
Raffle Drawing - Saturday 5/19 at 2 PM. Raffle tickets must be turned in no later than 1:00 PM on Saturday, 5/19. The drawing will be done at the concession stand.
Town of New Windsor Memorial Day Parade - Sunday 5/20/12 -(Time to be announced). We stongly encourage as many players, managers, coaches and teams as a whole to march in team uniforms in this year's Memorial Day parade. We will be asking managers and coaches to remind their players and parents to take part in this very fun event. More information to come.
Volunteer Organization
New Windsor Little League is not run by the town but rather by a group of dedicated parents who comprise the board of directors. As parents and board members, our main goal is to give the youth of New Windsor the best baseball experience possible. As a volunteer organization, we need the assistance of other parents to help ensure their children will have a fun-filled, memorable 2012 baseball season at New Windsor Little League. The NWLL board of directors is asking parents for help with the following:
Special Requests
For 2012, there will be absolutely NO special requests involving that a child has to be with a certain coach or another family. Everyone can not be on the same team. Players will be placed on teams and schedules will be final. Managers will be allowed to pick one asst. coach. No scorekeepers or 3rd assistant coach. Please do not ask us because we will not be able to accommodate your request.
Refunds
Refunds will be granted in extreme cases, on a case by case basis, at the discretion of the New Windsor Little League executive board. All refund requests must made in writing and given to a league director.
Each family will be required to purchase $50.00 in raffle tickets 10 - $5 tickets at the time of registration. Raffle tickets are available on opening day and the raffle is held the last week of the season.
2012 Raffle Prizes will be as follows:
1. 1st Prize 1 winner $1000.00 3rd Prize 1 winner $150.00
2. 2nd Prize 1 winner $500.00 4th Prize 1 winner @ $50.00
New Windsor Little League is a private volunteer organization that is not town sponsored and its fields on 90 Cedar Ave are not part of a town park. The complex is private property and managed by the Board of Directors of New Windsor Little League Inc. No tax payer dollars are used for the league. All improvements, upkeep, equipment, uniforms, insurance, lights, lawn care etc. are paid for by Registration, fundraisers, sponsors, rentals and concession.
